General Requirements for Membership
Treat MBDN as you would a "favored customer"
Regard the Network as a customer, make available your capacity and capabilities, quote opportunities responsibly and effectively.
Sign our Membership Agreement
When you sign our membership agreement, you will also be asked to participate in a comprehensive capabilities and interests survey. The information will be used to create a "knowledgebase" to promote synergies between companies and help focus the Network on productive opportunities.
Return (pay) the network a negotiated fee (if applicable)
Any opportunities that turn into business and revenue for you will earn a fee or royalty to be paid to the Network as negotiated.
Membership in the Network is open to businesses primarily involved in manufacturing or technology development.
No initial membership fee is required; members pay royalties or other fees based on revenues generated from projects developed by the Network.
The Network operates in three basic ways:
1. By providing business and/or engineering support as an agent to a lead company who performs 80% or more of the project tasks within its organization;
2. By acting as the prime contractor for the project and subcontracting to the most competitive members; or
3. By forming a limited liability corporation to provide the needed products and/or services.
Members are expected to:
Make available their capabilities and capacities to the Network.
Work cooperative with the Network, providing such expertise and information, as may be from time to time requested.
Bid competitively on opportunities brought to it by the Network and provide the Network the same level of quality, service and warranty that it provides its other customers.
